Damn those GS400's are fast

I was on my way into work this morning and some guy was tailing me into work the whole way. We got side by side at a light and when it turned green we punched it and he walked me (almost a trot), then we proceeded to run 100+ through traffic and I stayed right on his ***! It made for a very entertaining commute into work!

What are the specs on those things anyway?

I could give you the 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile times (5.8 / 14.3) but they are highway monsters.. they can run with lots of faster cars

with my modded 5spd i can keep up to 80 mph.. then after 80 the car just pulls about 10 cars to 130 mph

one of my dream cars, not because they are fast, but because they have no pillar on the door so you can open the whole side of the car and it looks so clean.

I did play around with a GS400 from about 50-80 and I took him by half a car, but I was not 100% sure it was a fair race because I got the jump

I take it you smokem then! I would hate to own a $45k plus car to get smoked by a $30k V6 car and then to add to it to just see your lights the whole time.

Well , if you like the 850, then you should go for the 840, it's faster. The V-12 BMW engine seems to be more about smoothness than out and out power. Mercedes, too.

Yup. If it's a BMW, and it has 50 in the middle, then it's the v12. I think there's only 2 models, the 850 and the 750i/il etc

There is also the 850csi which is the M versionof te 8 series. These cars had the biggest engine ever made by bmw in them, i beleiv a 5.4 litre v12. Dont think a gs would take one of these on the highway.

Yeah, I know, that's what I meant with the 850, I just didn't recall all the letters. I tend to pay attention to the body style (8) and the engine size (50). The rest are the niggling little details.

Sprint did u want me to read about how you smoked an m coupe from that link? My best friend has a 01 m coupe...315hp version not the 240hp on the 2000 and 99. The 01 m coupe is unreal fast ask briguy about this thing man. It takes my other frineds 00 corvette all day. The 240 hp version m coupe is not nearly that fast, even though they should it high 13s i would beleive you killed it with your mods.
