Man! I love those cars, probably my dreamc ar, not cuz of their speed, but because they look, so clean. Don't play with fire, cuz you might just get burned.

I have to disagree with you on this one, only because I've seen a MB SL600 prepped for SCCA racing at the dragstrip running 12.7 consistently. That is pretty fast for a car that heavy.

No doubt. It moves. But look at most production V-12s out there, the old Jaguar V-12, the BMW V-12 and the Mercedes V-12. Their HP isn't exactly the mightiest, but their torque and silent running is to die for. Their respective V-8s seems to be better suited to extremely high HP upgrades. Probably has to do with a limitation in making soooooo many moving parts rev so high. I mean, make a 4 valve per cylinder DOHC v-12 engine, that's 48 freaking valves to turn around at mind dizzing rpms. I mean, damn! That's alot to keep in synch!

not only that, it no longer has the e-shift for emmission reason too, what a shame.

like steptronic, tiptronic, touch-shift, manualmatic sorts... you shift gears without clutch, which is just BS anyway in my opinion. some call it F1 style, but the only real F1 system now is only F360, M3 SMG and Aston Martin V12.

I remember reading something on the DTM Power forums about some guy who has a turboed M3, and he was saying that the only thing he has been beat by was some guy in a Tin Turbo 850

so a search, I am sure you can find it. He raced him on the highway, he took it up to 170mph or something like that, and the 850 was out of sight
