Leaking Tranny?
Just bought this Max a couple months ago and never crawled under the car til yesterday to change the oil. And to my surprise, this is what I found. Where and whats leaking? it seems like old stuff cuz its not currently leaking, just crusted on there. No puddles on the ground. And are those cracks? I rubbed my fingers acrooss it and it felt like hairline cracks. My car drives fine with no slipping or jerking. Any ideas? I checked the tranny level not too long ago and it was full. Ill check it again tomorrow.

Dude, you could have taken that pic lying underneath my car. Same exact issue on my '03. I'm with Tyutyunnik, no point in trying to fix it.
+1 on the clean it and see if it returns. The previous, and most car owners out there never slide under their cars and just rely on kids at Jiffy Lube to make sure nothing is wrong...

As others have said, clean the area first and reinspect it from time to time to see when you can spot fresh oil or tranny fluid.
To me...it looks like it could be coming from the axle seal, but as others have said, can be the rear main seal or lip seal. Both of those are a pain and costly to fix, however the axle seal isn't too bad.
