shaking/rpm drop at idle

hey everyone i have a 09 maxima with 37k on it. Recently i noticed when I'm at a light every like 15-20seconds the car will intermediately shake and rpms will drop to around 750 and then jump back up to normal. I was thinking my a vacuum leak or throttle body is dirty but im not sure. Does anyone else have this problem or ideas? Thanks

Glad I'm not the only one to have this issue... (if it's an issue at all). Car runs fine but at stop I get the shaking and low rpm for a second. Mine's a 2010 with 30k miles and the AC is always on. Thought it was caused by my stillen intake and/or y-pipe. Any insight would be appreciated.

Mine does the same thing but I like to refer to it as more of a shudder and not necessarily every 15-20 seconds.
I think it's just the A/C as it seems to occur more often on very warm days.

i was doing some reading, i think it has to do with nissan wanting the car to idle low to save emissions?? something like that.. the newer models have some kind of feature that somehow acts like a hybrid and cuts off at the stop lights.. sorry im so vague, def a normal issue tho

Might be on to something. Don't notice this in my Max, but another car I had did it. Felt like someone bumped me from behind. And many people on that forum had the same complaint.

I had the same exact thing happen to me on my old '10. It could have been a coincidence. But I started noticing hard starting etc. I PM all my cars myself. I noticed my battery was swollen/sweating. It was showing 10 volts on a start and 11 cold . I swapped out the battery after it died in the supermarket parking lot (1 week later). I had 0 problems since then. I believe the crappy batteries they give us cannot handle the load after a while.

So far in my '12 with a stock battery I am ok. I am keeping a log to see when it starts happening.
