I know I know. Its still early...but for those of you that went to the 1st annual Nissan Infinit shootout at ATCO raceway in NJ I want to see ALL THE VIDEOS up in here!! This section should BLOW up with videos in the next few days!!! I wish I could have made it but the SPEC Stage II clutch started slipping under full boost and I cant track the car like that...unless I want to do 19s...lol.

 

Javon how old is your Spec stage 2. Mine took a beating today at the shootout but its about 4 years old. What are you going to replace it with?

 

my clutch about 2 years old. It was cool when I was all motor, but now it can't handle the TQ. I have a FX300 (stage 3) but I think I might sell it and get an FX400 (Stage 4) 6 puck sprung disc. I dont want to have to take the FX300 out and replace it later. I can still drive with the SPEC in I just cant go into full boost. I can do half, but thats no fun.

 

Yeah mine was slipping a bit after the track yesterday. I have been thinking about an ACT clutch for a while now.

There were only a few cars from MD and we all raced so no vids because were all in the staging lanes together. 2 maxima, 2 350Z, 1 G35, 1 G37 4d AWD and 1 G37 coupe. I won the maxima altima sentra FWD class. My car ran terrible and Alan jumped the start on our last run giving me the win. He Ran 13.3 Auto 3.5 NA

 

Who won the forced induction Maxima class?

 

My buddy won the bracket racing thing at the end. His supercharged 350z was running high 12's-low 13's trapping 115. Street tires with a 2.3 60ft...he cut a good .003 light though!

I tuned it for him with his UTEC. He is running a 2.87 pulley but only holding 9 or 10 psi. Probably has some leaks somewhere.

 

i won the power adder class w no power adder lol. nitrous didn't work on any of my passes. spent sat night tunning the car on nitrous only for it to mess-up at the track.It prolly the relay or n2mb wot which im using for nitrous activation but i havn't looked into the problem yet. i went 12.70@109.8 w/ not so good 60foot of 1.877 on the motor w/ nitrous map. My boys car also messed up at the track, his TB gave out on his 5.5gen before he can even make a single pass. we didn't even sleep sat at all trying to get both cars ready for the event for only to them mess-up at the track. he was suppose to run in motor class.

track prep wasn't the best. i been to atco many times in past and track prep was much better.

Did the event have a good turn out? I am hoping it is around in the future.

We couldn't get the 92 Maxima VQ35 ready in time for the event. I didn't know anything about it until 2 months ago. So I tried to scramble and get the car race ready in time, but couldn't. But NWP Engineering was still very happy to donate prizes to the winners of the V6 FWD class and help promote the event.

I will definitely race next year though!

 

Im in for next year. Should have METH injection, 3" DP, vented hood by then!!

 

only other boosted maxima's I seen with a green 4gen that ran 14's and a black 3rd gen that also ran 14's

I should be there also in a auto boosted 4gen, looking to trap no less than 120

well the fastest car in the boosted class ran 12.7 n/a his nitrous didn't cut on so if you could have ran a 12.6 then yes you would have won

As for the feedpipe you'll just have to check,

 

I figured you were on here me and my bro had the black 4th gen running low 13's n/a. We tried to do a nitrous pass with the car too but he forgot to activate it. Your car is quick though. Wouldn't be surprised if you got a high 11 out of it the way its setup.

Winning pass was 15.0 @93 2.3 60'. I was piggy backing my JWT with my EU and when I got in to New Jersey my AFRs went all over the place.

maybe, maybe not. i was going to bring my 01 supercharged max to the event but it ended up not happening. i went to a test and tune a few days before this event to dial in my car and ended up breaking 1st gear ( i was pissed to say the least). there is always next year though.

none the less i still went - i think the turn was good and those 7sec gtrs were bananas. bet next year will be even bigger.

 

This was my favorite car there to watch in 1/4 mile. This thing held its own with a MANUAL gear box and sounded so angry. lol

 

^^Yes indeed!! There's a pic on another one of the nissan forums with it doing a burnout and you can see guys in the background covering their ears because the thing was a bit loud/mean when it came on boost. lol

 

yea unfortunately my trans broke the week before the event in my 5.5gen so i ended up running my G37. The drive up there and then jumping right on the track proved to be to much for my clutch so i didnt get a personal best, and still havent ran on my race map yet. but 13.3 on the base map isnt shabby
