mo motor needed, just silicone...

thankfully, i got some silicone spray for windows/garage doors, etc., and sprayed down the tracks of my one bad window and wallah!! its going like a rocket up and down again. i did the rest of the windows too and they all seem to be restored to like new again as well. reason i post this is i saw many misleading threads about how to get slow windows to go up and/or down and after some looking around found out this is the right way to do it. you may have a bad motor/regulator or both if this has been going on too long or if the motors original. the dealer also told me, ( yes the dealer ) that they recommend doing this every oil change to help keep the windows working properly.

edit, i just noticed it says "mo motor" its early man, im tired

Silicone spray. It is recommended to use on rubber for lubrication. I also sprayed this on the CV boots on one of mine since they tend to make noise and it stopped the noise.

FWIW That rubber part is fairly cheap and easy to replace.

i"ve never heard of replacing the rubber. the silicone is a clear spray and a non-grease product. you buy the kind thats made just for windows and garage doors etc. home depot sells it.
