Fog Light as DRL question for those who have been around here a while...

Before you all give me a hard time, yes I have searched and can't find a definitive answer.

I am wondering if there is an easy way/mod to allow the fog lights to stay on all the time, sort of acting as DRL's? I would like for them to stay on with the headlights as well. I found a thread about a previous generation Maxima that simply tapped into a wire in the fuse box to make it happen, but I can't find a "how to" for the 7th gen, and apparantly that way doesn't work on the 7th gens. My in-laws MDX does it and I like the look so was I hoping to do it to my Max. Any help or even a link to a "how-to" would be much appreciated.

And Ghozt, as much as I like your LED strips, I just don't have the ***** or knowledge to try that.

Thanks!!!

I'd rather have the fog light switch turn the fog lights on even when the headlights are off.
If you want drl, leave that switch on. You probably want them to turn off with the car as well.

You can do what Guido did. This way is better and no wires to run thru the fire wall if you want a switch. Just press the "on" button on the remote and done DRL....

Thanks for the replies guys.

Guido, do you have a brief how-to or maybe a few pics you could post? Is the remote switch mounted in the car? Are you controlling the OEM fogs with it? If I have no experience with lighting, is it still something I could do on my own?

theres a relay you can get that makes 12v devices operate as a DRL, it goes inbetween your battery and whatever you're working with. I know KMoney used one to wire up his DRL's as auto-on/off with the car, hit him up im sure he can tell you more about it

and jbling, DAMN thats a nice picture
