Suggestion for coilovers or stock springs.

Fellow maxima owners, I am looking for some suspension advice for my 09 Nissan maxima sv. I just bought a new set of aggressive Vip Modular Wheels 9.5FR and 10.5RR. My maxima came lowered when purchased not sure what spring or mods it had for suspension. My issue that I am running into is rubbing in the rear with bumps in this houston streets. I would appreciate any suggestion to fix my issue. Does anyone think stock spring would help, or aftermarket coilovers?

Moving this to 7th Gen, this is not an advanced suspension topic.

Rubbing is a combination of having a drop, more aggressive offset, and tire size. The easiest solution would be to raise the rear, either by getting springs with not as low of a drop, or coilovers where you can adjust the ride height. Depending on your offset and tire size though, there might only be so much you can do.

What are your offset specs and tire size? With that info, we might be able to help you better.

There are also a few offset and tire size calculators you can use here:
