I tried doing a search for this but with such basic words, there were a lot of different posts that didn't answer my question. So, i apologize if this has been covered a lot.

So, i don't know much about cars but try to keep mine in as good a shape as possible. A few days ago, my CEL came on. I got it checked and it was for the knock sensor and O2 sensor. A few days went by, I put gas in my car, and the next day the light was off and has not come on since.

Do I assume whatever the issue was has corrected itself? Only thing that happened was that I put premium gas instead of regular gas like I always do. Trying to figure out if I should still replace the sensors this weekend or not. Thanks for the help.

 

Same exact thing happened to me. I ignored it. It's been 2 years since and still no cel. (Knock on wood)

 

Often times an O2 sensor code will trigger a false KS code. IF you do replace parts, start with the O2 sensor. Direct fit piece from rockauto is affordable ~$50.00 shipped.
