Scraping with Front Lip Spoiler

Hello,

Recently installed my Front Lip spoiler, looks sick. I am on Eibachs. Unfortunately, I seem to keep scraping on my driveway no matter whether i go from an Angle or how slow I go. I just installed this 3M rubber Splitter from ebay..It worked somewhat..not to fashionably and it just rained so now its already coming off.

I have heard the following:
- Home Depot Wood Planks
- Drive on an Angle
- Go real slow
- Don't pull in driveway (idiotic lol)

Any other ideas?

Back-in to the driveway? That or maybe come at it at a near 90 degrees and slowly roll up?

I'm planning a drop soon too so I foresee this as a problem for me as well.

You know you can't get rid of you max! I suggest getting a load of concrete and making it more of a slope. Idk. You must have a steep driveway.

Interesting Ideas...Backing up in the driveway I scrape my exhaust tips..then it hits my front lip lol!

The funny part is its not THAT steep..but its steep enough to scrape..and the ****ty concrete doesn't help either..fml

1) Bags that fit inside your springs that raise you up a few inches. Expensive but doable.

2) Get a jack and lift up the front of your car, roll it in.

3) Put it in drive, get out of the car and pull up the front of the car as you go over the area it scares, stupid, but it would work.

4) take the lip off.

You are probably only scraping the understand of the lip. Who cares? Pics of damage?

I've backed into my driveway since the day I bought my house over 3 years ago. The only time I've ever pulled in nose first is when I want to admine the front end of the Maxima from my garage.

The ONLY time I've ever scraped my front end was when I backed out of the driveway after pulling straight in. There is something different about the angle when backing out of the driveway...so I would try this for sure.

how about removing the lip and so that you can go really low, add some nice fitting wheels and your good to go! you get so much more value out of it.

deep and low. deep and low.

I've heard of scraping because your too low, but not scraping because your too high. Which seems to be the case here, scraping because your too high.

Ksport airtech kit for the 7th generation maxima. Now K Sport uses off the shelf stuff and it isn't the highest quality but it should work fine.

Bag it, it will fix your problems. Or scrape and ignore it. Again it is probably just scraping underneath where you can't see it.

2.5k

If you call them direct you can probably work out a better deal or talk to a vendor on here who sells them.

Bro i had the exact same issue and had the apron of my driveway regraded with new concrete and i dont scrape at all anymore. Best money i ever spent. It cost $450 but i was paying $150 every few montsh to repaint my lip so it was worth it.

Is it the Stillen front lip spoiler? You have to be pretty low for it to hit. Or id it an aftermarket lip?

Well, this became a popular thread. Eibach Pro Kit with the Stillen Front Lip spoiler. I am not too high for me to scrape. That makes no sense. If I was high enough, I wouldn't scrape, correct?

Let me draw a pic for you...haha

\ <-- Drive way __ <- car

Long Island Maxima..I've been thinking that. No real damage to take pictures of..just minor scratches..I could just plasti dip the bottom black w a glossifier..and they'll be gone since I have a black front lip.

Thank You guys for all the advice..most of you that is.

P.S...I now use wooden plank boards...Work like a charm..Good exercise too. I would leave them out but the M...cans around my neighborhood always steal stuff lol..

that's interesting some eibachs and a stillen lip makes you scrape under a normal condition like a driveway. Is you're driveway steeper than normal? I guess the stock bumper is pretty low to begin with.

What is the eibach drop on the 7th gen?

When you back in have someone else watch. You don't want to F up your exhaust tips.

Geez, just how low was that drop? Or how high is your curb/driveway? I'm pretty damn curious now (and scared! I wanna get springs and the lip this month!).

I know..That's the problem where I live..every curb is like mine. The TD Bank, the Dunkin Donuts, the Gas Stations. I don't get it! I'll take a picture..You would think that it wouldn't scrape because your on Eibachs. But my driveway..I can't get up without scraping..

Only method works..like i said is Wood Planks..I'll try and redo the driveway eventually..or move lol

Yeah, I just figured it settled really low if he's scraping so much, maybe more than the usual 1"-1.5" range. That said, the angle, slope, or maybe curves of those curbs must be pretty steep.
