Now if you read that thread, you would see that he already painted that SSIM'd manifold and that he is not selling a SSIM'd manifold.

yea man dont hate on him even if he was selling his painted ssim that he bought for 140 trying to resell for 200 let him he not gonna buy somethin for 140 and sell for 100. theres not much need to cover the tracks even if he did cause everyone knows people want to make profit.

and if i may ask how come you didnt ssim your own intake manifold? is it too hard to do?

Yup. The LIM gaskets from nwp are the same thickness as OEM (correct me if i'm wrong) and are just made out of a different material. So you can use oem ones for a "5" piece

Me? its not hard at all, just time consuming. I did it with an aluminum die grinder at work. Took me close to 3 hours by the time i was done port matching and polishing.

Thats the key. The phenolic helps 'isolate' the heat rather than allow the heat to transfer through it as the metal based stock gaskets would.

If the thickness were signigicantly different then there would be issues bolting up the lower intake manifold.
