rpm/tach NOT MOVING AT ALL!!

Tach Gauge Not working!!

so i sintalled the stillen grounding kit on my 99 I30 and stupid me i didnt bolt one ground and tried starting the car.. lights were flickering with ignition pulses and within 2 or 3 seconds i stopped trying to start the engine, checked wiring and tightened the screw, crossed my fingers and she started!!! BUT now my tach is not working at ALL! is this controlled by a fuse/relay or did i screw myself??

any input would help

most likely blew a fuse or the connection on the back of the gauge is no good anymore

were you smoking when doing this work? Take the gauge cluster out and take a gander at the back of it. If it is black lol, you need a new one

Could have blown the capacitors as well. If it is not moving at all then you need to locate a pull a part in which to buy another one

Not musch you can do when it totally stops working. If it is just going crazy then you can solder it back up and replace the capacitors but you likely blew them up. Electrical work seems easy until you make a stupid mistake and it costs you.
