Maxima with straight pipe after cat, sound clip

Nah man you'd be surprised. I mean, some people have 3 in catbacks, this is fairly small. There is this kid who drives around my area with a slammed, straight piped Mazda 3. It sounds like gun shots going off when you hear him drive by. THAT is loud. This really just had a great tone. I'm glad too because I thought it was gonna be droning.
Doesn't sound too bad but I would get rid of the super small tip Cause that makes it buzzy. are u sure you're not.using a muffler? Search YouTube "1998 nissan maxima straight pipe" its the best sounding straight pipe 4th gen with stock y. Not a fan of.the big can but it makes the idle really deep and since its so straight through with a bit of muffling action it doesn't rice the sound.
that one in the vid is 4.5" tip but 3" single tip is ideal for the 4th gen. Just a thought. If you do go with a y put the resonators back.on it'll sound like poo

Removing the muffler + installing pipe - 80

I'm not a car guy in the sense that I know what the hell is going on when I change things up, but I like cars, so maybe you guys could explain this.
When I stomp on the pedal (My car is auto....
), it seems the torque converter doesn't kick in and floor the car as it did back when I had the rusted out muffler on, it seems that it only does it when I am at a totally steady pace, if that makes sense and not as freely as before.
But, I absolutely feel a difference in high end power. If you guys want I will record a clip of me accelerating up to 60.

That's the right way to say it...ya can and cell mics suck However if placed far.enough from the muffler where it won't go "fffpfffoffhffiffpfpfffofjdjfffroooooommfffffdffff " on the Mic, it gives a good idea of how the car sounds. Just fill in the bass and boominess yourself lol

Hopping back in here for a quick question.
I asked my local mechanic who I always go to if he will pass me. He said since it's all sealed and I have a cat there is no problem!
My question though, is what is the difference between a 2.5 inch back, and a 3 all da way?
I've heard bad things about having bigger pipes but nothing comes to mind.
Thanks guys.

It sounds awesome when revving, or at high speeds. Low speeds wreak the sound of rice
