Help with drivers side door after minor accident

So I got backed up into. The drivers side door got hit. Swapped the door but the new door still has trouble closing. The bottom of the door seems to be fine. I can lock it and open it with the handle. But the top makes a gap( 1/3 of inch) with the car so the seals dont make contact. When swapping the door I didn't replace the hinges, but they dont seem to be damaged and the pillar seems fine too, unless the dent is too slight for me to notice. You guys have any ideas on how to fix this? Maybe swap or shim the hinges? All this obviously leaks when it rains.

try unbolting and rebolting the door back to the hinges again, but i dont think this will work,

your issue seems that someone pried through the upper part of the door and bent the actual door to far back when doing so, i part out maximas and i lost the keys to one of them and pried it back with a pry bar to pull it back and open it with a tree bark and when i closed it back this is EXACTLY how the looked forever, so it may very well stay this way and you will need another door

I doubt it, I picked this door up at a junk yard and I checked it out before they took it off the other car.

Door needs to be adjusted better. If there's a gap up to, then the opposite side needs to come out. In your case, bottom hinge out slightly and top hinge inwards. It takes some time, but it should line up.

How would I do that exactly?

If it is just the door that is damaged, go pull one from the PAP

I would say start with new hinges, but I'm afraid this isn't gonna be enough since when I look close at the picture it looks like the bottom of the fender and rocker panel don't line up straight. I could be wrong since I'm only looking at a picture, but you very well may have a bent A pillar.

I hope not for your (and your maxima's) sake
