My new 2013 Isuzu D-Max!

Well I somehow won myself a 2013 Isuzu D-Max. The Rotary Club of Belize does an annual raffle for charity. My dad bought me a ticket without me knowing and I won. This is the first year for the new body style. This is the vehicle the new Chevy/GMC Colorado/Canyon will be based on. Will throw up some more pics when I have time.

You guys get all the good stuff over there. I'm partial to that ZuZu D-Max, as my truck has a V-8 Duramax in it. 3.0 TDI Isuzu FTW! Wish they gave us the option of that diesel in GMs midsize trucks.

Congrats on your win, that truck looks pretty cool. It seems to be sitting up high, is it 4 wheel drive? Report back on your fuel economy, too.

No it is not the 4x4 version but it is what they call the Hi-Ride as it sits on a 4x4-like suspension. The regular 2WD has a much lower suspension, yet the 4x4 has about an inch or two more in clearance than this. I just saw the Colorado version here yesterday. I don't know if the styling will be a hit in the US. The dealer says that this should be good for close to 40mpg on the high way so I will see if that's just marketing.

Here is what the Colorado I saw looks like

I'm loving it so far. Nice to be able to just drive with nothing to really worry about. Some of its features are Bluetooth/usb/aux radio w/ steering wheel controls, LED tails & 3rd brake light, power folding mirrors w/ turn signals, projectors and almost endless cupholders & storage compartments to name a few. I'm not a fan of the wheels but I can live with them given the circumstances. So far I've put on better wipers, LED license plate and city light bulbs, and broadway mirror. Can't do much due to warranty, but I will try out some HIDs in the projectors, HIR bulbs in the highbeam, LED dome light, 20% tint and color matched spray in bedliner.

Yeah.... that Malibu-ish front end has to go. If GM is really going to make the U.S. version look like that, they're going to not sell well.

Wow you guys really do get the better stuff. Mid-size truck with a diesel and a manual. WTF why don't we get this?

I like the look of the zuzu more than the Chevy version.
