Custom Urethane Engine mounts Pass/trans

I have posted in the 4th and 5th gen forums, but it makes more sense to me to have this posted here.
I have developed a solid urethane engine mount insert that will work on any maxima/i30/i35 from at least 1995 to 2003 for sure. It may even work on later models, probably will work on altimas, but I haven't tested yet. For now, it is confirmed that all maximas from 1995-2003 at least use the same size rubber inserts for the passenger side engine mount, and the same size rubber insert for the drivers side upper mount. So if you are looking for an alternative to replacing your oem mounts with something firmer, here is something for you.

These will work on all autos, 5 spd and 6 spd trannies with slight modification. With an exacto type knife you can have these fit all models.

Press these pieces of garbage out of your OEM mounts

And tap these in with a hammer or rubber mallet

Price is 150 shipped to the USA from Canada.
Here is the original thread from the 5th gen forum, it's very cluttered and I apologize for that, but tons of info on how the part was developed, and testimonials form people who have them in their car.
http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...otoype-15.html

If you are interested please start a list. I can place orders of 10 people at once minimum. Once 10 people have confirmed we will work out the details.
The original sets were made at 80a durometer rating, but after some more testing I am going to make these at 70A which is the same rating as what is used to replace the torque mounts on our car

BTY, although I designed these, I do not pour the Urethane. I am using a third party to do this for us. All they do is urethane molding.

Put me in for a set for the drive and passenger side for a 5.5 6sp. I forward this to my friend who is interested in the same set as well.

In for the same, both sides for the 5.5gen 6sp. Let me know when you get the minimum committed so I can send payment.

On a side note, I thought you were using the 80a urethane before, why are you changing it for this round?

I can't compare to the red lion mounts, but mine are made with the same stuff as the ES torque mounts. I'm sure there is less vibration with mine. As to the torque link, I have heard lot's of people complain that for a DD it can be a little harsh in stop and go traffic. See rochester's comments in the 5th gen section about that.

I can tell you that i have virtually no wheel hop right now. I have tried to induce it on asphalt roads with no luck. Now at the track it might be another matter. For you 6 speed guys, your tranny will not slop around any more. If you keep your hand on the shifter while driving you will notice that the shifter doesn't budge during acceleration at all.
You will feel increased vibration with this mod, no doubt about it, but I personally think this is a good alternative to the super hard delrin bushings, and the solid metal post on the torque link. And if you are supercharged, these will fit no problem, where as therre is no room for a torque link if you have that mod

Start up a list in here guys and when i have ten names we will figure out what the next step is. I will need a good faith deposit from you all, and payment in full a few days before I place the order with the company that pours these for me.

Wow great product! I personally got these and I am very satisfied. Vibration did increase a bit but he is right about the wheel hop being gone...

The ride is smoother at highway compared to my old mounts and it responds better when I punch it!

Buy with confidence!

Ok guys, I'm ready to place the order. I am going to order 12 sets, there are always a few stragglers.

As soon as I receive full payment from everyone I will place the order. I'd like to order by May 3rd assuming everyone has paid by then. If this is a problem pm me and let me know.
The last time I tried this we had 20 names on the list and only 12 paid. Had I placed the order I would have been burned for 8 sets

Paypal is knight_yyz @ cogeco.ca without the spaces. Guys, paypal is going to burn me on exchange rate and paypal fees for cross border stuff. Please send the money as a gift and you pay the smaller fee from your end. Or add 3% to the total. I'll soak up the exchange rate.
For my fellow Canadians the same email should work for emt.

Knight, might I suggest using www.dwolla.com as a paypal alternative? You take a flat $0.25 fee on any transaction over $10. Doesn't matter if it is $10 or $10,000... I use it quite extensively for payments in my resale business.
I know that you are in Canada, so their may be some hoops to jump through, but in the long run it will help your (much deserved) margin quite a bit.

Anyway, just a thought, trying to help ya out.
BTW, I really appreciate your development efforts into this aging platform!
