thanks, but i've already looked at that. those instructions are on cutting 97-99 bumper which is much easier and cleaner since you only have to cut middle bar. the 95-96 require the entire foglight shape to be cut...much more difficult. plus, it doesn't offer and technique tips.

oh, i didn't think about the "99" when i was making my username...i should have! it is sort of mis-leading. i just pick it 'cause most names i wanted was taken already.

I have been thinking hard and long about doing something with those openings. The problem come in finishration of the opening. Most bumper openings finish by curving into the bumper instead of just flat. The OEM foglights are flush with the face of the bumper. So I've ben trying to come up with the right idea that would appear profressional in presentation. I'm still marimading on a few designs. Also there is the question of how to install the mods and not have screws and such though the bumper. I look forward to seeing the comments provided in this thread.

I did the install a couple of years ago. The kit comes with a steel template that you screw to the bumper to use as a cutting guide. The screws go into the part you throw away. I used a utility knife, but it was hard cutting. I had to make several passes to cut all the way through. Using a hair dryer to soften the plastic may help.

The kit also includes black rubber trim to dress out the hole.

just from the experence of cutting plastic, i suggest that you make your cut an 1/8th shorter and then sand to where you want to be to get the cleanest edge

I didn't get what you're saying at first. But you mean make the cut 1/8" inside of the cutline and then sand out to the cutline. Do we use regular sandpaper from the hardware store or something special?

Beat me to the punch! I would suggest using a dremel tool as well.

My 96 fog light complete kit

has arrived. Total $197.99 delivered to my door from auburnnissan. I just installed the relay (piece of cake), and the new switch )piece of cake but longer time needed). No time to cut the bumper now but tried connecting lights to the hanging connector. It works just fine.
Yes the kit includes two cutting templates. Kit does not include the 15A fuse because it is already in the car.
The instruction is not accurate: It says the kit is not for GXE with no ABS and power seats,... My car does not have ABS, only has power seats.
