2012 Rear Suspension Bottoms

2012 Maxima S Limited Edition.

Anyone else notice the rear end bottoming out? Is this normal for the Maxima? I have felt this with just the family in the car (2 adults & 2 teenagers). Made a trip to the airport with the four of us, and about 125 pounds in bags, and it was even more noticeable. I don't feel either of these conditions should "over load" the car. Going to the dealer on Monday for an inspection.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

This is a common problem prone to new gen Maximas I think. My distant relative Mike has not even done 19000mi and of late this bottoming out problem has crept in. No doubt the car is under warranty but the dealer has not given any positive response on replacement. I had given him the idea to get a used part in the future if occurs again. You could take a look too http://www.automotix.net/usedautopar...inventory.html these are in very good condition and nearly brand new parts ‘with warranty’ for the ‘12 Max.

Quite a few Maxima's that I have driven from 4th to 7th gen tend to have bottomed out in the rear with a decent load way more so than other cars that I have driven.... the 2nd and 3rd gens I drove did not exhibit this behavior
