Stupid question, but I couldnt find it in a search. How do I get the shifter **** off so that I can pull the wood grain off the center console to get to the cup assembly?

First, pull down the silver piece from the bottom. Second, remove the horse shoe pin(I used a small.flathead to push the pin out while I slowly pulled the pin out). Be gental :-) Then just pull the shifter **** up and your done
