LED lights for fog light issue
LED lights for fog light issue
I've tried like 3 different companies for HID fog lights with no luck, they keep blowing.. I tried the relay harness still with no luck so I just put the stock ones back in.
Before the Max I had a truck and I put LED bulbs in the fog lights but then the fog lights were just a light, I saw no beam on the ground. What LEDs would make the fog light actually "funtional"? If not can someone recommend the whitest lights I can get for at least the nice look? I'd like to get absolutely no blue in the light if possible.
Thanks
Dan

No LED bulbs will be bright enough to actually be functional.
Invest in a quality HID kit with 5000K bulbs and call it a day.

LEDs can be bright, but doesn't have the lumens to penetrate the darkness like normal halogen and HID bulbs do for low beams.

LEDs are very bright, but regarding actually working as foglights, not so much. The new Benz and Audi vehicles that have the LEDs all up in the front are used only as daytime running lights, for that very reason.
I got these... http://www.vleds.com/bulb/h-series/h...11-1-pair.html

I believe stock halogen foglights are 1800 lumens but don't quote me on that.
Like we've told you...LEDs are bright...nobody is denying that. Aiming it at something, that something will be able to see it clearly. But when you have foglights, you're dependent upon the light penetrating throuugh something else...and LED foglights don't do that...they're more for the DRL (daytime running light) configuration.

The housing plays it's role but the bulb does as well if you didn't notice. You could have even gotten some H9 bulbs (2100 lumens) and modified them to fit.
I really do though
But not for fog lights.
[QUOTE=ChrisMan287;8773019]They're still not going to be as bright as halogens (H11 are 1350 lumens) and definitely won't be nearly as bright as HID. You just spent $99 + $39 for your previous bulbs + who knows how much on the other three HID kits
$59.99 free shipping, I don't know where you pulled those numbers from

No the 2nd set was just an example of higher lumens.. I bought the 850.. I don't mind if they don't function as fog lights, I was just hoping they would but no big deal. i just want something good looking without going back to the stress of blowing HID's.
