07+ Alti 3.5 Hybrid Swap, 98 i30

I got the new setup to the track tonight.

Track prep:
Removed throw rugs, spare, and jack
MT DRs Aired down 21 psi
No air filter

Year of Engine: 2008 Altima
Engine Modifications: 3.0l timing, upper and lower oil pans, drilled intake cams/sprockets, 09' Maxima upper intake and (75mm) TB, 3.5" Intake, Q45 MAF, BPI flow stack, Aeromotive AFPR, Cattman headers, 3" SS exhaust Y-back.
Tuned: Rough tune with EMU
Transmission: AE 5MT VLSD

PBs
60 - 2.195
1/4 - 13.66
mph - 104.96

Slips: (7447)

My 60 still needs work, as does my tune, the VIAS isn't hooked up, and I was only shifting at 6600ish. But, all in all, I'm happy with the improvement over my last time at the track with the old 3.5 DE, 2.5" exhaust, and stock 3.5 TB.

http://forums.maxima.org/1-4-1-8-mil...5-5-speed.html

I was only managing a 14.1@102 with a 2.3 60'. My first run tonight was a 14.1@103 with a crappy 2.5 60'.

13.66 at 104 mph...that's some crazy fast numbers. And you did it on those big pretty rims.

Imagine how much faster your car would have been if you downsized to OEM 16s or even 15s.

The DRs are 255/50/16s.

The 16s they're mounted on are pretty light. 16lbs IIRC.

I thought about throwing on the crazy light 15" BBS rears I have but I wanted to see how I'm rolling around on the street plus a better launch. That's why I left the seats in. The tools I had in my trunk probably canceled out half the weight of the spare too.

If you put 16s in the back and empty the trunk I think you would have gone even faster. My buddy's like that...trunk full of stuff all the time, ready for a repair whenever lol

I'm probably sticking to the DRs. But, I plan on going back by the end of the season with a better tune and VIAS operating. I feel like I have some time to pick up after I start moving.

I just have one recorded but luckily it's the 13.66 one. I'll crop it and get it in here eventually.

Sell the radials and get some 24.5 slicks. Radials suck on fwd cars, I know from experience lol.

Car will run low 13s on slicks for sure!

you need to let some air out of the DRs if youre having trouble with the 60. 21 PSI in DRs is super high. You should definitely be able to pull 2.0x or even some 1.9x 60s with DRs and a 3.5

Honestly, I have a lot of improvement left to be made with my 60s even at 21 psi. These were my 1st passes on DRs and 2nd time ever to the track. Next time I'm not going to be afraid to push it.

Nice man, now I'm debating if I should get the EMU...
Did you tune on a actual dyno or street tuned?

For these runs I just did a basic street a/f tune and added some timing based on what others have done on here. I'm sure a better tune and the VI hooked up would have helped out though.
