Trying to diagnose a slight hesitation upon accelerating.
So been having this slight hesitation upon accelerating. To me it seems like it does it right around 1200rpm. I was thinking a vacuum leak somewhere. I have changed every hose i can see. I checked the pressure with a gauge and it read like 17 . I changed 2 more hoses today that had cracks in them and it is now around 18. I havent driven it yet but i just wanted to know if these reading looks normal, i got a pic as well as a video. What do you guys get from these. Mind you im not sure how accurate this gauge is, it is a bit older.

Yes, mine idles perfectly normal though and there is no shaking or anything. The only symptom in the hesitation when accelerating. Im gonna drive it today, i haven't driven it since i changed those last two hoses so maybe just maybe its fixxed..ill report back soon.
The smaller one? I just got them at a local parts store. Just regular vacuum hoses, i took them in to get the exact size. The bigger one i have circled, i just used a regular straight hose, as long as it doesnt pinch it will be good. Some of the hoses i replaced like the one in the picture directly on top of the oil dip stick and the long one that goes to the brake booster i got those at a junk yard since im not gonna pay $40 for a little piece of hose from courtesy, lol.
Hesitation and miss
I'm having trouble with my vg30e as well. When the engine is cold and at idle I get a miss, more extreme in colder temperatures. My nissan dealer suggested that sometimes the injector rings can start to leak causing a misfire when fuel enters the combustion chamber at the wrong timing. I've recently noticed that when I first start the car after its been sitting for about 8 hours after work that it hesitates upon initial acceleration in drive; it only does this after an initial short trip followed by sitting for 8 hours. I live close to my work so in the morning I only drive about 4 miles to work and then park for 8 hours. Wondering if this is now a transmission slip or if its related to my engine misfire? Anyone have any insight? Thanks for reading

Couldn't hurt to replace the upper and lower intake gaskets, not to big a job. I was having a similar issue like some of you guys have been describing, and after changing those out and checking vac hoses I haven't had any problems since.
