KYB AGX Front Strut Cushion/Mount (REPLACE or NOT?)

This is mainly for 4th Gen-ers who have done the KYB AGX suspension upgrade & plan to race/autocross their cars. (Any comments welcome, of course)

I'm about to do a KYB AGX w/ Apex springs suspension upgrade.

My 1995 SE has about 85k mi. and I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the added expense to replace my OEM strut-mounts (not neccessarily showing any signs of wear) with the "KYB Strut Cushion/Mounts" while I'm in there doing the swap.

http://www.kyb.com/shocks/boots.html
(KYB Front Strut Cushion/Mount - Part #SM5122)

Did anyone do this?
Think it's worth it from a performance standpoint?
Are KYB mounts better engineered than the OEM mounts, to handle a stiffer suspension setup? (I know the site says "meets or exceeds OEM. . .")

I plan to race/autocross, so I don't want to wear out the old mounts & realize I should have done this, "after the fact."

Advice?

Please, don't tell me "It couldn't hurt." I've got that much figured out. . .

Thank you very much.

I was also going to get KYB AGX's from greg but I am not really sure if I need them or not, new shocks i mean. I have 103k on my 96 max SE and 18 inch rims. The car doesnt bounce that much with my eibach springs but I really cant tell if I need new shocks or not....

Didn't mean to be an A** at all.

If you have something useful to offer on the topic of the thread, please post it. I'm all eyes. Please don't turn my thread into a street fight. That's not what I'm here for.

Peace.

KYB Strut mount story I found

Interesting condemnation of the KYB brand Strut Mounts:

http://www.brickboard.com/ARCHIVES/2...20100228.shtml

(I'm not buying the author's slam on ALL KYB products, though. We all know KYB to manufacture a good quality shock/strut)

If this car was subjected to normal use, the story definitely points to KYB's use of sub-standard materials in their strut mounts, but who knows - his 'precious daughter's' "boyfriend" could have been Baja off-roading the vehicle in question, for all we know. . .
