PFTB adapter

I designed a PFTB adapter for the 3.5 swap for a buddy of mine and had several made. CNC machined from 6061 aluminum. Has a duel bolt pattern allowing either the 4th gen OEM TB or 01 PFTB to be mounted up. Get the 3.5 swap done initially using the 4th gen OEM TB and then upgrade down the road to the larger 70mm PFTB. Comes with all necessary hardware to mount either throttle body to the 3.5 FWD intake manifold. Simplify your 3.5 swap! $110 shipped.

Also, have some PFTB IACV block-off plates for sale as well a 4th Gen IACV apdater plate.

Any chance you could make an 00VI/ PFTB also with the 4th gen holes drilled?

Yes, I could make a 00VI/PFTB adapter and do the same duel bolt pattern for the 4th gen TB if there was some interest. I have my 00VI setup still sitting in my basement so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Ok seems like there is a decent amount of interest. I'll get the ball rolling with a 00VI/DE-K version running the dual bolt pattern for both the 4th Gen throttle body and PFTB.

Judging by the pics of the first, it looks like a bracket to extend the throttle cable mount will have to be used. Is there any way to incorporate that into your design for a cleaner/finished look?

Yes. A throttle cable bracket will have to be fabricated. I'm in the process of designing one since its necessary.

Good deal.. Would it have to be a separate piece or could it be integrated? (Purely for aesthetic purposes...)

Sweet!! I'll definitely be in for one. Could you also make me a DEK guide tube block off plate?

It will probably be a separate piece that bolts to the intake manifold somehow.

Do you mean a DEK EGR guide tube block plate? The one on the bottom of the intake manifold?

Yes, that is the one. Purchased an 00VI setup last summer and it was missing from the box (as were several of the bolts) presumably it fell out during shipping or something.

If you get the TB bracket fabbed up I will buy this in a heartbeat! How many do you have left? Is there anything else that would be necessary to get the PF TB to run right on a 3.5? What do people do for the IACV on those on a 3.5? I have the PF TB on my DEK and had to get the OEM PF IACV to get it to start and idle properly.

Yeah, I trying to figure out the best way to design the TB cable bracket and should hopefully have something figured out soon. I've got 5 or so of them left. I have also designed an IACV block off plate for the PF TB which includes a barbed fitting to connect the 4th Gen IACV adapter plate to. Some folks would rather run the 4th Gen IACV. But the TB adapter plate allows you to run either setup.

Oh, and which TB gaskets would be required to make this work? Would I need a 3.5 Maxima TB gasket AND a PF TB gasket (one for each side of the adapter)? Or just the PF TB gasket?

You could use both the TB gaskets, one on either side or just some high temp RTV. I would just use the RTV.

Your PF IACV will be fine on the 3.5.

Hey there. Still working on it. I've been tried up with family stuff and vacation lately. I hope to have it ironed out and designed in the next few weeks. I am about halfway done with the prototype cable bracket.
