How to make Factory DRLs bright even during night [Solved]

Well I have spent about 600$ US to install these genuine DRLs from the agency.

Now I only have one question, those DRLs have two modes, Day time mode and night time mode.

The daytime mode is extra bright (duh) but the night time mode is dimmed.

Now my question is, could I adjust the DRLs somehow to make them bright even during the night time mode (when I switch my headlights on) ?

for other DRL's there should be an extra wire coming out of the back of the DRL in addition to the 12v/ground - this wire will cause it to dim when the headlight is on. not sure how the factory DRLs are done if its relays or what.

These look very nice! I like that they are in the bumper.

Not bad but I prefer the cleaner look of the integral DRL/high beam set-up of the Canadian 7th gens.

Well I have found the solution to the Factory DRL. The solution goes as follows

This is the setup that comes from the Factory DRL. The blue cable is one that should cut to skip the dim that happens when you switch the lights on.

Cut the cable..

This is the final result sorry for the bad quality pics (iPhone 4).

That was a successful update and the look has changed, I will definitely take some shots using my DSLR camera.

Spread the word..

Wow thats awesome looks great!.. I was thinking of the same exact thing. Buying a another bumper and having my buddys body shop put the lights exactly where you have them, just like the GTR. I just didnt want to spend the money and not have it work out. But it does work i see... I might give it a shot.

Good question buddy! I actually threw the car into the service center and they installed everything for me so I didn't have the chance to get the part number.

I'll run my calls and find it out for you,

Tuning yes you might find somebody, but as far as some parts like air intakes, I suggest you go for online shopping.

Yeah, that's a good price. I did them for 1800. Make sure you don't tell them the trick of cutting the blue wire after installation. Also, disable the orange light, make it only light when you turn the signal. Any noob electrician would know how to do it.

How much are the lights themselves without installation?
