Hey. I've been looking for pre cut tint films for my QX Maxima -99. In pics, it seems that window size and design is totally same but can't say for sure. Could somebody maybe measure those rear side windows with panels on and windows up from SE version so I could compare mine? Those precut tint film sellers on Ebay won't guarantee SE films fits to QX, I have asked them. My Maxima project is soon totally ready and I wait to upload some pics but tint films still missing from it. I wanna do tinting by myself to save some costs and same time to learn up.

Your Maxima is like our I30. Still an A32 chassis with different front and rear body panels. The doors and roof are the same, ie the glass is the same.

Do you have a rear window wiper like the Cefiro? That may be the only difference

 

Thanks for answering. So you can confirm that if I order pre cut tint films for I30 model (rear sides) they fit to my QX Maxima? Theres no rear window wiper on A32 QX.

I don't want to steer you the wrong way. The easiest way to be certain is to post pics of the 2 models in question.

Good to know. Sorry to bother you guys more with this but now, actually it seems there only are pre cut tin sets for SE Maximas and GLE Maximas. Does the GLE have only different trim compared to SE so GLE is like Cefiro I30 A32 with different trim but same door windows? So -99 GLE tint kit fits directly to QX Maxima?

 

The differences in the trim are in the stickies but you are just talking about glass and shape. There is no difference between the doors of our cars. SE's have slightly tighter suspension parts and the GLE has like power everything, things like that.

You should be completely ok with the shape of the glass and that's really all you are referencing is the tint film. Are these things like super expensive to make you second guess so much or something?

 

Thanks for your help you all. This is all I need to know and now I know enough. Just want to do as much on my own as possible and learn. Will easy my first time tint operation a little when I can get pre cut films even when cutting to shapes are not so complex thing to do either, nothing about money in this, just my style to plan things well before going live while doing as small mistakes as possible.

 

SE Maximas do not have the 3rd brake light in the rear window. That is the only difference I could see.
