i have nissan maxima 2000. Recently i locked the globe box with the car key. i have kept some important documents inside. I tried opening the globe box with the key, the key does not go all the way in and i am not able to open it. Is there any solution for it?

 

if you have another key, try using it to unlock the glove box to rule out your key being the problem. otherwise, you would have to find a locksmith that does automotive locks to either pick the lock, or unlock it somehow else

 

Smash it open and junkyard another lol

That will a lot cheaper than paying someone.

 

Take bottom trim panel off and remove the 4 screws from the hinge and pull down

Hmmm, I was thinking the screws were on the inside

 

4 posts and no one to tell this guy it's a glove box, not a globe box?

 

I always store my globe in there.its the old fashioned GPS!
