Vacuum leak and p0430
Vacuum leak and p0430
So for a year, my car would high rev after stopping and going from driveway to driveway (as my job designates) also due to the IACV, well we replaced the IACV and fixed half the problem, but it continued with the stop and go. We cleaned the throttle body, but a week ago we finally noticed a vacuum leak that sounds somewhere behind the throttle body..could this effing thing cause my high revving? please god tell me yes, we've been battling this sh*t for too long..also i have the p0430 code, catalyst efficiency below threshold and i think it said bank 2 or 3..o2 sensor or converter? opinions welcome, thanks in advance.

Vacuum leak definitely can cause your high revving especially if it is a large leak like manifold,as far as the p0430 it is the first precat(bank2) i also have the same code i plan on getting rid of it the same way i got rid of my p0420 code by adding a spark plug defouler
research^^^^^^^^ ^^^ it is harder to put one on that cat but it is doable
