Cabin fans wont work in lvls 1 2 3.

Hello guys quick question, I didnt use my car for 3 months as I was out of the country. I came back and I noticed my fans wont kick in in lvl 1 2 and 3. They will only work in lvl 4, regardless of me using the AC or not.
I dropped the glove box thinking I was going to check if they worked with out a filter or if I could hear a problem but it turns out my maxima 97 doesn't have filters in the cabin.
Any Idea as to why it would half break? It seems odd to me. I dont want to take any chances though if they fully break driving my car will be close to impossible in the winter.

Replace resistor.

I'll find the link and edit it in.

Blower motor resistor without question.

Thank you guys for the reply!! I will go buy a resistor at pepboys tomorrow and have me some ac again.

Having the same issue as OP where fan will blow on 4 but no 1, 2 or 3. I have a 2003 Max. Do I need to remove the glove box to get to the resistor or is it accessible w/out removing the glove box?

Edit: nm, I see it below glove box.
