Ebay rotor warning!!!

Recently bought 4 slotted and drilled rotors from "brake motive" on eBay. Very attractive price and they looked great when I got them. Never tracked them just around the city driving. However!
I've had the front ones on about a month and both have failed. A crack right through an outer hole on both rotors. The rear rotors are doing fine so far so we will see how much longer they last.
They are under warranty and I am in the process of seeing how that goes.
I would post a pic if it was easier from my phone

Don't buy these! Ever.

I've seen 'quality' rotors with drilled holes start cracking so it doesn't surprise me eBay rotors would.

^^ what he said.

Drilled rotors are crap for most applications in a Maxima. There's a huge long post about it somewhere about why it is so....

If it looks to good to be true then its not... in many occasions the drilled rotors and pads package will cost well over a grand to be considered of quality and reliability. Most likely you picked up regular rotors that some one drilled holes in them...

Edit: I just found the rotors and pads that you are talking about... really? You do understand that just a quality set of front and rear brake pads will cost you more that he sold you the entire package of pads and rotors???

I've had a full set on a 5.5 for two years that are starting to warp in the front and on my 4th gen up front for over a year with zero issues

I was happy with the drilled stillen rotors on the front of my GMC Sierra. Pay a lot for good fronts, and stick with parts store blanks on the rear.

I stay away from drilled completely. Running eBay slotted rotors all around and no problems yet.

if you plan on street driving with a BBK then drilled rotors will probably get you buy just fine but stock brakes? GTFO. There are some many threads about ebay rotors this is kinda your fault for not paying attention.

Drillled rotors are no good.drilled rotors eventually crack cause thier weaker due to drilling holes into the rotors urs just happen to crack very fast.get some slotted rotors and call it a day.drilled rotors are more of a look thing, they look cool but drilled holes are not need when some rotors already have vents in between.

I was about to buy the same drilled rotors from Ebay and I decided to check the org first. I'm glad I did. I had slotted rotors on my 2002 maxima from procarparts.com and they worked fine. I think I'm going to buy a set of slotted rotors from tirerack this time for my 2009. Are there any other companies you guys suggest for rotors so I can compare?
