Hey everyone, I have a 2001 maxima with a manual transmission. I'm going to replace the clutch next week and since I'm going to be under there I'm going to might as well change the fluid. I just wanted to know what kind is best for a transmission with almost 145k on it? and how much quarts does it take?

I love my Redline MT-85. I think the 00-01 tranmissions use 4-5 quarts but someone may know better. The 02-03 uses just under 3 quarts.

this is correct. the vlsd uses 4.25 and open diff uses 4.5 if my memory serves. mt-85 is a good oil as well.
