Hello, my stereo on my maxima 2009 SV doesnt work,
i was planning on putting a simple pioneer head unit under the lid of the arm rest...anyone though about this?
Will the bose amplifier work with aftermarket stereo?

 

you can you an aftermarket radio with the bose system but its a fairly complicated install, you CANNOT directly wire the pioneer harness to the car harness because bose speakers work on a 2ohm load and the amp in the pioneer radio is only stable at 4 ohms, what you will have to do it solder RCAs onto the low level input side of the bose amp which is located upside down behind the carpet inside the trunk on the bottom of the rear deck, then you will need to run those rcas, up to the front of the car wherever you r mounting this pioneer radio, like i said its a big install i would recommend a good shop to the job unless youve done this kind of thing before
