Spots on gauge lense

So I was cleaning my steering wheel with a small soft bristle brush and leather cleaner (Did a great job).

My problem is that while cleaning the wheel some of the cleaning product (Mother's Leather Cleaner) sprayed on my gauge cluster lense ( I did not notice it). A few weeks went by when I went to clean the lense and the spot would not come out I tried using headlight restore cleaners (Not using any of the special pads) with not luck. I used scratch remover (I think it is a Mother's product) which has very light abrasives and that seemed to work.

Does any have any other suggestions on products to use?

Thanks.

Not cracked...but some dipstick used degreaser on it. I've gotten a chunk of it off (since that picture was taken), but there are some small spots that still remain. Plastic wax didn't do much to it..

Not to hijack the thread...but does anyone have any experience changing out the lens? I can't find a part number for it and have given up thinking that you have to buy the entire cluster to replace the lens. Is that so?

If u have any goo gone or turtle wax sticker remover try that, that stuff works for literally removing everything.

I used this guide here for steps on how to pull out the cluster. You can get the lens at the dealer, it cost me about $8, I think. It's cheap enough that it warrants replacing instead of trying to fix it. Nothing like a flawless lens after looking at spots for a while.

The lens on my car was so bad it was barely visible in daylight...the dealer had the detail folks clean it up buuuut it wasn't perfect and it bothered the hell outta me.

I did this a couple months ago, not sure if I still have the receipt for the part number, but the parts people should be able to find it fairly easily.

Excellent! Will try the goo gone and if all else fails, I'll spend a Saturday morning replacing it.

Thanks for the tips.

If u use goo gone or whatever make sure to let it sit for a minute before u wipe away. Works best that way

Please let us know if the Goo Gone worked. My guess is no... But would be interested in what happened.

Try to use a headlight restoration...that will probably work the best seeing how the lenses are plastic and are subjected to all kinds of road crap and they polish up just fine.
