For those Car Gauge Pro users

If you grabbed the app for advancing your timing hopefully we can get this one through.

http://scantech.proboards.com/thread/91/nissan-consult-fuel-injector-test

My thoughts are if we could get this test function available WITH an ability to save, all that would be needed is a wide band and we could do some basic AFR adjustments. Maybe it will work, maybe not. But I need some support from those of you using the app to comment on the above thread if you are interested.

Thanks in advance!

This app has every function UpRev's Cipher does now minus the fuel injector and coolant test. If we can get this going WITH a 'save' feature it would be amazing in my opinion. I'm going to be spraying soon and being able to bump up the fuel from my phone when I need it would be effing incredible!

I had to man... This was literally the best program I've ever purchased on my phone... well worth the money. I would even pay double but don't tell anyone!

Anyone on G or 350 forums as well? Can someone try to get the word out on this as well? Thanks to those that are posting on the scantech board! Hopefully we'll hear from Isaac soon!

It would be beautiful if there was a way to raise the Rev limit and 100% throttle body adjustment. I'm just saying :-)

I have the Car Gauge Pro app(Best App out there!) and I was successful changing the idle on my 2004 Spec V (using the self test feature). It appears the timing advance +/- 2 degrees should work as well...I still need to test this.

I tried the timing adjustment for my 03 maxima and the feature does not appear to be available. Has anyone managed to get this to work?

Should work on your 03 no problem. Many have confirmed. My 02 has held it fine no problem. Was your car at operating temp when you tried? Connect via: Nissan, ECM, select your obd, and it should pop up with ecu port 10.

In other news, Isaac saw our posts and commented back. Looks like he's going to work on it. Fingers crossed people.

Anyone currently have a wideband hooked up that could test the actual AFR? I can test the app feature from a functionality standpoint but do not have a wideband hooked up. I'll accept a donation if anybody has one they can part with.

Is the only benefit of bumping up the fuel for performance gains only? Or does this have some diagnostic benefit aswell?

has anyone gotten the ABS actuator test to work? Doesnt work on my 03 it says not supported or something like that.

Just tried the ABS test on the LF solenoid. The up, keep, and down functions are working. This was after a brisk drive with the car running. So try it again at operating temp with the car running.

Still doesnt work, from my research theres 3 different ABS units
Auto W/ TCS version
Auto without TCS version
Manual version

So i have a 6Spd maybe that module doesnt support testing

DJ, follow the link up top. Post a new thread on that board, Isaac might be able to get that going for you. He can't fix what he don't know is broke. I admittedly never tried it until you brought it up. I'm auto with tcs and it worked. Hope you can get that straightened out man.

Abs sensors on automatic and 6 speed a completely different. They send different signals.

The 6mt produces a sine wave generated by a coil and a bar magnet.

The auto produces a square signal produced by a magnet and an IC.

On the 6mt the greater the speed the higher the voltage, on the auto the frequency of the square wave increases.

On the thread DJ posted on the other forum the guy says the signal is on a certain pin of the obd2 port which has nothing to do with the problem.

You are correct.
On my 03 MAX the engine temperature was not at 175F...the app states a lower temperature (I have reported this as a bug).

Idle adjustment - works
Timing adjustment - works

Thanks!

Self Test. Same place where you advance timing. You can adjust base idle rpm from 0 to +250.

Not sure where Isaac is these days, but look what I found. It's an add on for Torque PRO. A35 Maxima is listed, not the A33 or A34... Any willing guinea pigs out there?

I haven't been on this thread in a minute. So I see there is a new add on for the torque pro. Has anyone tried it yet? And where is Issac?

So i just replaced my throttle body and of coarse my idle was above normal i even had a p0507 code for higher idle than expected. I used car gauge pro to reset the ECU and i performed the idle air relearn self test but it kept failing over and over again , i finally got it to work heres how.
My idle was at 1150 when i would start the test the idle would drop to around 800 then it would say test failed and once i pressed ok the idle would jump back up to 1150. So i started the test and before the message came up saying "failed" i pressed the back button on my phone and it exited the test and the idle came down to 800 then it lowered to about 650 and it saved! Couldnt believe it, i dont know if it was a one time thing but i was desperate and it worked. I then upped my idle to about 710 it felt nice there.

Is that just a monitoring app, or can you make adjustments I wonder?
