How many miles do you have on the car?
Generally, shocks/struts are recommended to be replaced between 60-100k miles.
People seem to be wanting to have replacements about every 30-50k when using Eibachs on factory equipment.

I would just do a bounce test on your car, and if it passes then just put on the eibachs.

Push up and down on the front and rear fenders individually. If the car doesn't keep moving, your shocks/struts are fine. If the car bounces a few more times, then they need to be replaced.

Besides the afore mentioned bounce test check to see if there is any leakage or seepage from the strut itself. If it is leaking or seeping its time to change it as well. 50k on Jersey roads.... I'd be surprised if they have not started to show signs of wear.

With that milage I'd just bite the bullet and purchase new ones, it'd be preventative maintenance!!
