Just hit 50K on 10' SV w/ premium pkg

So I just hit 50K two days ago and I STILL haven't done anything to her. I changed the license plate bulbs lol and thats it. I've been so busy with opening up the detailing studio I just haven't decided what to do. On the other end, what maintenance should I be looking out for now? I purchased the car with 35k almost a year ago, I've had no issues so far (knock on wood) and I have an extended warranty. I swear I am hearing more rattling now (freakin' Michigan roads) but other than that she's cool. I want a more aggressive stance, I'm probably going to correct the paint within the next week or so and wax it before winter really hits. Thoughts and ideas?

Lowering the car will immediately improve the look and stance of the car. Consider getting the Eibach Pro Kit drop springs or coilovers. You'll want to pick up 350z camber arms as well and have those installed, Ichibas and SPC are popular brands here.

As far as maintenance, not there yet (I'm at just under 35k) but a lot of guys have been doing a transmission drain and fill around 30-50k. If I'm up to it, I might do it next oil change. I'd check your brake pad life as well and do a radiator flush.

Shipwreck, if you go to coils you don't need the 350z camber arms. The arms are for only when you using the eibachs ? Correct me if I'm wrong, from what I'm reading when you go to coils everything line up fine, but if you just going springs that is when things are not always perfect.

Like shipwreck said, I would recommend YOU change the CVT fluid at 50k miles instead of the Nissan recommended 100k.

Like the others just said above, I would advice too you change your CVT fluid. Good maintenance. My Maxima is at 164,500 miles now and the CVT shifts like butter. I am not even kidding, jut because I have been changing it. In fact my car drives like new.

If interested to order your CVT, I do have some for sale. Check my thread in the 7thgen for sale section. I would be glad to sell some to you if you decide to do the CVT drain and refill.

Thanks for the info/advice guys. I think I'm going to plan on doing this. Anyone have the process lined out to change the CVT fluids? I've been trying to compare between the H & R springs and the Eibachs. Eibachs seem to get more love from the Maxima group...What else goes along with lowering using springs?

Since you don't know how the car was treated during the firt 35K miles, I would, as others here suggest, go ahead and schedule a CVT fluid change. If you want to be very careful with your money, the service tech has an instrument that can tell you whether the CVT fluid needs changing. But I would not let this CVT fluid change wait past 60K in any event.

If you change it yourself, there are folks here who can tell you where to get the proper CVT fluid. Do NOT try to use normal automatic tranny fluid. The proper fluid is more expensive than normal tranny fluid.
