55w Halogen Fog Lights

So who's running 55w Halogen fog lights?

I keep reading in past threads that people say the 55w "melt" the housing or run hot. I don't see many aftermarket options for 35w bulbs.

I bought the Nokya 55w artic white bulbs, and I just want to assure I am not gonna run into problems doing this.

Thanks

I believe the melting is from 55w HID kits, not halogen, but i may be wrong

one guy on here put the Stage 2 Nokya's which are 80w Halogens. I can see that being a problem since it is more than double the wattage. I am just curious who's running 55w Halogens for Fogs, and have they had problems... I don't want to buy a HID kit for them cause I cant see myself spending 100$ for fog lights

I run some $9 "super white" bulbs from ebay, work great but I prefer the yellow ones. Both are regular 55w halogen.

Unless I am missing something, I thought all H11 bulbs are 55watt?

Your correct. I kept reading on numerous threads on here that stock wattage is 35w. WELL, I just pulled out my factory fog bulbs today and guess what!!! They are 55w halogens.

So for all the people in the fog light threads saying factory wattage is 35w. WRONG!!!!!!!!!

55w is stock halogen. Hid would be 35w and a lot brighter as long as the Kelvin isn't too high. IE 8000k
