what average mpg are people getting?
i was curious what average mpg people were getting in there 7th gen? i drive like 2/3 city and 1/3 freeway and i barely get 20mpg. i drive conservatively and not aggressively so i was kind of expecting to get a little better than 20mpg. thoughts?
also, what is the factory warranty on our cars? i've heard a couple different things. i have the clicking sound coming from my windshield seal when i hit bumps in the cold weather and i was wondering how long can i expect them to replace the windshield without having to pay for it?
thanks guys.

I had my windshield replaced at ~3000 miles due to improper installation from the factory.
Check your passenger side headrest for any noises you are hearing, just remove it entirely and take a ride.
I had noises that I swore were coming from the center console and other places that ended up being the headrest. I made it so the headrest posts would not go low enough to "click" in, problem solved.
Factory is 3/36 BTB and 5/60 drivetrain.

was it hard to convince them to replace windshield or were they pretty willing to do it? i just rolled over 34k and it's a 2010 so i should still be in the BTB coverage, unless it was purchased originally earlier in 2010. hopefully i can still get the windshield done. .
I brought the car in for rattles, I never mentioned the windshield as being an issue, the dealer found the problem and replaced it.
The car tells me i get an average that usually reads either 15.9 or 16.2 (never in-between). I drive around town, rural, suburban and highway - sometime conservatively and sometimes I have fun with the car now that I'm just past break-in. It's been either of those numbers since I took ownership of the car since 8 miles on the odometer.
Yes, I realize there's no true history on the car's efficiency or my driving patterns....

I'm getting exactly 20.93 mpg over the last year and 3 months. Average 45 miles per day, probably 70% highway. 91 octane.
Also worth noting, I have many performance mods, but have not yet tuned the car to be as efficient as possible in using those mods. My driving style is probably more aggressive than average. Lastly, this is calculated for exact mileage. The car's computer always reads much higher than I'm actually getting. It says that I'm getting 22.3 overall (1.37 mpg better than what I'm truly averaging).

With only 1000k miles on the car the computer says I Avg 18.5. I've never calculated it.
I drive mostly Highway so the Avg sucks but I'm guessing my right foot has a lot to do with it.
Also once it's broken in the mileage should improve a little.

Better than my 16.2 - anyone know if there could there be a reason for this that I'm not aware of?
lol
I avg ~24 mpg on 91-93 octane. Have just under 60k miles with a Cat back.
wow, thanks for all the replies...lots of good info. it looks like i'm getting somewhere right in the middle. which is ok, but i'm going to have to get some mods done and put new plugs in the car and maybe i can squeeze a few more mpg out of her. i have been running 93 octane but i read that our car is designed for 91 and 93 might not burn off completely and cause carbon buildup. would it be better to run 89? my area only offers 87, 89, and 93. i figure if it runs a little lean that's ok.....
i also read someone saying there's an "oil" guy on here? i need to get some trans fluid to do a drain/fill.
looked for a spark plug how-to to see if it was a project i wanted to tackle and couldn't find one. anyone know if it's terrible or easy?

Let me say that if you have hands bigger than a three year old....be prepared for some frustration. My first took 6 hours. After the second 100k I took it too the shoppe! In all honesty, it isn't that difficult, it just takes patience and 50 universal joints on your socket!!😄
no
sunoco station, rt 9 shrewsbury eastbound side, next to autozone and home depot. Consistently one of the cheapest gas stations in the area for all grades (87, 89, 91, and 93).

I should've been more specific, in boston I've never seen any gas station with 91 octane. I saw a post above that said 91 octane is better used for these cars. I would use it if it were available as I'm sure it's little cheaper then 93
I'll pay closer attention during my commute.
