Sports Package or Not???
Sports Package or Not???
OK...
I just purchased a 2011 Maxima SV today and the description says the car comes has a sports package. So I get home and am reading that the sports package comes with 19 inch wheels, I look at my tires and they read 18 inch.
So now I am wondering if this car really does have the sports package, how can I tell for sure??
Thanks

Only the sport pkg comes with the spoiler STANDARD. However plenty of dealerships install the spoiler on some of their inventory that wouldn't have had it. So you can't be certain just by the presence of the spoiler.
You should be able to figure out from this taken from the Edmunds.com site on the 2011.
The SV can be optioned with either the Premium or Sport packages -- both of which add shift paddles on the steering wheel, xenon headlights, a driver-side auto-dimming outside mirror, heated front seats, heated outside mirrors, driver memory functions and a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column. These packages also include a heated steering wheel, upgraded leather upholstery and rear bucket seats with a center trunk pass-through in lieu of the 60/40-split seats.
The Premium package differs by adding a dual-panel sunroof, a rearview camera, a 7-inch LCD screen, a ventilated driver seat, rear-seat audio and HVAC controls, automatic up/down rear windows, a power rear sunshade, wood trim, an RCA auxiliary audio-video jack, a 2GB music server (replacing the six-disc CD changer) and an iPod interface. The Sport package features a sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch wheels, smoked headlights, dark chrome grille, gray metallic stitching accents, a rear spoiler and metallic-look interior trim. High-performance summer tires are an added option with the Sport package.

I think I have the Premium package, I have all the features listed under there but do not have the 19 inch wheels or dark grill. I guess I'm actually glad I don't have the sports package, the ride is firm enough for me already.
The Premium has the Dual panel Sunroof plus a bunch of other stuff but the sunroof is the easiest way to tell
Spoiler
Another good tip for determining if your spoiler is factory or installed after by the dealer or others is to check for a 3rd brake light in the rear window deck. If it came from the factory with a spoiler your 3rd brake like will only be on your spoiler. If it was added later you'll have two off them (spoiler and rear window). Also, on a side note its illegal to have both 3rd brake lights hooked up. I doubt many officers would pull you over for it but you never know.
