Turbo
The CVT can't handle it... it is already torque limited at low speeds with just the stock setup. This is why the car can feel bogged down at low speeds but really has amazing power from 40-100mph. IMO, I think a turbo would tear the CVT to shreds upon acceleration.
Cvt would explode. Not to mention the vq35 has proven to be pretty fragile under any boost. Ask the 350z guys. It's not a matter of if it blows up but when. Sure some guys have boosted their vq with no issues. I'm sure someone's gonna say "I had a boosted vq". To me it's not worth even trying. The tranny sucks. Even if you did boost it what's the point? 300whp? Worth blowing up a motor? Want a turbo 4 door real sports car? Buy an e90 335i BMW and mod away.
Less drivetrain implosion scenarios occurring.
