Are you from down under? Thats one alien looking engine bay lol.

Yes you can clean both, check the useful links sicky. You will need new gaskets put on when you reinstall those parts or your car wont run proper. They sell cans of aerosol specifically for cleaning throttle bodys and such, sold at most auto stores and major retailers.

Ahh! Im used to seeing those with the big valve cover plate that goes with them lol.

What happens if you change the gasket? Then youll be fine lol. If you meant what happens if you DONT change it, well you run the risk of having a vacuum leak which means improper engine pressure which is bad. Any time you remove parts like this youll want to have new gaskets, unless you already replaced them recently.

It's only air going through the manifold and that doesn't look all that bad. Your not going to see any benifits by cleaning that area. You will see more improvements at idle by keeping the throttle body and Idle Air Control Valve clean. A much easier task with noticeable improvements.

Interesting..... you have a 2000cc engine. The ones in North America are
3000cc.

Which country do you live in?
