Another suspension sound.

My car makes a squeezing noise while going over bumps while driving idle is fine pushing down on the car does not make the noise. To me it sounds like rats squeezing. Not metal on metal but metal on rubber. Struts were replaced 3 months ago and I replaced the lca bushing a few days ago. The noise seems like its coming from both sides of the car. Any ideas?

Yup, that's a new one for sure!

Check the sway bar bushings.

Got the same problem but more of a creaking noise over bumps and turning, going to replace most of my front end tho struts, control arms, tie rods CV joints, and sway bar bushings and get an alignment.

Does your steering seem less responsive than normal?

Hey, I had the same problem for months after replacing struts with some monroes. I don't know what caused it.

However, a couple months ago I sprayed some liquid wrench lubricating oil and silicon spray along the springs and rubber joints of the struts...You can do it from within the wheel well. and til this day I haven't had that noise sense. Even after driving thru rain and snow. May need to reapply once in awhile. It got really bad and I was able to isolate it after spraying entire under-parts of the car and it not helping.

People say struts don't make that noise. They do.

Quick question, Did you replace the strut mounts/bearings when you fixed your struts? If you only replaced the shock absorber portion of the strut assemblies, the strut mounts may be the source of rat squishing.

mine started squeaking again after driving thru heavy snow, mud/salt and freezing temps. Sprayed some water, let dry, and applied Liquid Wrench to the struts. Problem solved.

I'm telling you...it works.

Just today I fixed the noise coming from my fairly new struts. It was just the bolt in the center of the strut bearing a little loose. Good luck.
