Strange prob - passenger doors wont unlock?

Every once in a blue moon, ill be getting in my car with some friends and the passenger doors wont unlock. Ill hit the unlock switch on the driver armrest (no remote keychain) and the doors will unlock and instantly lock again. The first couple of times this happened was actually really funny as my friend thought i was messing with him by relocking the doors every time he pulled the handle.

Anyways, the only way to remedy the problem is to reach across and manually unlock the door from the inside handle. Whats strange is that the lock will actually fight back and push against my finger trying to lock itself, but once i force it to the unlocked position, everythings back to normal like it never happened. Either something is afoot or my max really just doesnt like the people i associate with.

Not too concerned here as it brings me amusement and only is a nuisance to my passengers, but out of curiousity has anyone else experienced this issue?

i have this issue at times.... my main problem is when i get out and lock it wit the key fob my passenger side doesn't lock. So I would have to lock it manually, and when I try to unlock it with the key fob it does the same thing that happens to you. But instead of forcing it I manually fully lock it back then unlock. Glad i don't use that door much. Not sure what it could be but the rails my need some greasing.

This could possibly be the switch that is part of the lock cylinder in the door. This switch sends a signal to the master power window switch when you lock or unlock the door with the key. Maybe it is sending the lock signal all the time.
