Connecting rod ball joint bad?

Connecting rod ball joint bad?

That would be your front sway bar endlink. And yes its worn out and needs to be replaced.

Fairly easy job too, DIY worthy.

I agree. Plus the rubber bushings above where you were pitting the wrench are worn out, too. An end link kit will include those. Do both sides. The kits are not that expensive, either.

And it looks like the boot on the axle CV joint is ripped up. There's another project for you.

I just put an end link kit on my car about 3 months ago. As stated before it's very DIY able. Also as Denis mentioned buy a sway link kit. And get erything you meed. Have fun with the axle. I had to do both of mine also.

OK thanks. I just replaced the sway bar end bushings. IIRC, I took this when I was starting to take things apart. That's how I noticed the movement. The CV boot is relatively new. I'll have to check that. I didn't notice it was torn when I was in there, but I might have missed it.
