Talking Parts i'm looking at getting

Hi,

Where would be the best place to order some parts for my car I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada.

Here are the Parts i'm looking at:

Exhaust:
http://www.meganracingperformance.co...-p-450030.html

Intake:
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...rod=69-7002TTK

Spoiler:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/301-PAINTED-N...vxp=mtr&_uhb=1

also I was think of getting a rear sway bar or a front strut bar what one do you think would work best?

Rear sway bar:
http://racinglineperformance.com/sho...&idcategory=23

Front strut bar:
http://racinglineperformance.com/sho...&idcategory=23

Would these sites be the best places to buy them?

Also If anyone could suggest a place in Edmonton i Can get some car audio done at that would be great.

Thanks,

Front sway bar is almost pointless.
Front Strut Bar is absolutely pointless.
Rear sway bar should be mandatory.

I hope you're right about the front strut bar becuse I have the R2C SRI and I didn't want to have to cut the intake shroud to make the Strut bar fit. This is good to know though because I have the Sport so the front sway is naturally stiffer and I did upgrade my rear sway with the racingline one. Still need to get the endlinks however.

To the OP, the first link for the Megan does not work but I am also very interested in the Megan Exhaust and also the second link is dead as well.

Theres no one here in edmonton for parts like this.
Ive always had the issues for your front and rear sway bar and possibly ypipe if your interested go on racinglineperformence.com there from BC
for the rest just order online from the manufacter

Yup that fixed it but that's the same exhaust I plan to get! But for the SRI, since the strut bar is not really recommended I'd go with the R2C. It's $175 shipped and it doesn't use an oiled filter. It also has the biggest filter of all the SRI available

All the Raciingline parts I highly recommend, I love them. And front strut bar stiffened up the wheel, so I wouldn't say absolutely pointless.

If you think a front strut bar did anything, then you have placebo bias.

The engine already acts as a chassis brace in the front.
Something that just bolts on and has zero load is not going to have any affect on the vehicle.

If it really had zero effect though then wouldn't the mean the Front Sway Bar has a small one too? At least by that logic?

While I want to agree with you and hope you're right, I'm still a bit skeptical that the Front Strut Bar adds nothing to the cars suspension/feel. I will agree that it does not compare to the Rear Sway bar though.

IMO, even though the Racingline Sway Bar is better than the Stillen, when I look at the Strut Bars the Stillen looks stronger and that's even with the Racingline connecting to all 3 points.

The sway bars, front and rear, physically tie suspension components together from side to side. If the left tried to compress, the sway bar tries to compress the right side as well. The 'industry manufacturer' term is actually Stabilizing Bar or "Staybar" in short speak. The aftermarket changed that to "Sway Bar".
The front sway bar has little effect because of the design of the car, and being FWD.

The front strut brace, shortened from front strut tower brace is only a stiffening component, not a suspension component. Imagine a square frame. Adding this brace is like adding a second top line. It doesn't stop the sides from moving to make a parallelogram. Also, the entire firewall acts as a brace, so the addition is pointless. The motor acts as a brace in front of the fire wall.

Oh!! That was a great explanation. Thank you!

I know from personal experience on other cars that you CAN feel the difference with a good front strut bar. But not sure on these cars as the factory one looks to be pretty good.

As for Front strut bar it makes a difference - I have install it in my 2001 maxima and I will install it my new 2013 Max.
Mounma - just so you know Racingline is located in Vancouver BC (just been there on the weekend to get those same parts) so no cross border shipping.

I can go into more technical detail as to why the FTB won't make a difference, but I really don't feel the need. If you are adding a lot of chassis stiffening, then yes, there is a reason to add that component. If you are just slapping that on top, then no, it won't do crap.

I put on on my 91 maxima, as well as a VW GTI. They are great for looks.

If you want to go into the pre-load and fixed braces then there is something different.

^Yes, due to the design of the 7th gen I totally agree! Prior generations may benefit by using a FSB though.

A y-pipe is a great addition. It really frees up the exhaust flow, and from all reports, adds about 7-15 HP to your car.
That would make it the cheapest HP/$ upgrade possible to the car.

Phelonic Spacers would definitely be in this category as well

As far as my experience wit installing Megan racing catbacks...They are obnoxiously loud and droney.....The remedy is to a 27" x 6" round Magnaflow muffler p/n: 12640!!!Megan's resonators and muffler are to puny to reduce the unwanted noise!
