My latest Maxima

Had this Maxima for a couple of years now, its a New Zealand sold 1999 Maxima 30S.Touring

NZ assembly finished in mid 1998 so we got these from then till the 5th gen release in late 1999.....a Japanese assembled, Australian spec model, so pretty much a JDM Cefiro with a Maxima badge on it.

The S.Touring is supposed to be the "sporty" model in the range with the addition of some body mouldings....front lip, lower body moulding and trunk spoiler. I have fitted a pair of lower bumper body moulding off a JDM Cefiro, Internally they were the same as the rest of the range (30G and 30GV) but without the woodgrain dash trim or climate control AC. They even ran to the Nissan Clarion brand tape deck/CD player combo stereo. Because its Japanese assembled, there are no fold down rear seats in this one, unlike the previous NZ assembled 4th gen Maximas.

I love seeing how things differ in different parts of the planet.

That's spot-on an I30.

Very nice! It would be a hoot to fit the fenders, doors, hood, trunk, and body hardware to a U.S. version just to blow everybody's mind. I've seen guys do that with the Nissan President and the Q45.

Yep....your I30's are based on the JDM Cefiro with different bumpers and a couple of small interior dash changes, other wise its pretty much an I30.

Our higher spec Maximas, the 30G and 30GV, even have the Infiniti chrome vertical bar grille. Even the Nissan NZ brochure calls it the "Infiniti Waterfall grille". My grille is what they call the "Euro style grill"

Interior pics

Yes....right hand drive might seem abnormal or unique to you guys, but its completely normal for us....lol

Has now done 235,000km (approx. 146,000miles). Grey interior was standard on all our Gen4 Maximas. Higher trim spec cars have woodgrain around the gear lever/stereo/heater control area and window switches. Cruise control was standard to all trim levels from late 98.
