Install Side skirts & fender flare ? ?

Hello Forum,

Looking to buy some Side Skirts & Fender flare's for my rusting 2000 Maxima SE daily driver. Low key look.

I'm looking to install them myself. Looking for the easiest ones.

Do any of them come painted ? My car is that gold - champagne color. Or maybe have them in flat black to just bolt on.

Any company's / web site's that you can recommend ?

Has anyone install the side skirts ? Do you have to do any cutting of the rocker panels ?

Thanks Forum.
Lou

I think you're on the wrong forum .ur not gonna get much help here. I asked a few questions and mostly people who hang around here are losers. Im just doing some research on my car but I've looked into that so I can be a little help cause u won't get much here.

Mostly the kits are gonna come primed in black color. They're gonna be ready to be painted to whatever color u want. There's a few different options. You can go on ebay and get something cheap but they might be a pain to install, might not match up to your car and have to be modded. Stillien is a popular name and is more expensive but they're gonna look good and fit rite but again won't come painted.
I've seen bumpers where they ship out painted if you give them your color code but I've never seen body kits like that but they might do it. But I wouldn't recommend it.your car paint is not new so it won't match. A body shop will match the color.

Try another forum where people are more useful. This one is more for people posting Opions to things they've done.you wont get any good opinions on a question your asking.

Sorry that you feel that way about this site, i love it its awesome if you can use the search function on the site, and like to read and read you'll find a general idea of what you want.
I also got the same impression when i first started here but some of this guys know their **** very well, and have been answering the same questions for years . And most of the noobs asking questions thru threads would get more help if you went to the noobie thread and read starting with post #1. I'll help.

To the op...hit up the local junkyard some of these cars come with side skirts if your lucky enough you'll find them ,or if your on a roll the same color: ) dont waste money on bodykits, unless is the OGstillen lip

I've been around long enough I think that as long as you don't come into the forums all cocky AND don't brag about mods to your car that resembles a To Do list consisting of stuff found at Lowes, then you will do well here.

Just to be clear, bragging about a dryer vent CAI - you SHOULD expect laughter and flaming to ensue.

Right Planecrash?!

Outside of that, this is a great community.

Realistically if you are trying to cover rust with plastic or fiberglass body kits that isn't going to fix the rust. Also i don't know of anyone that makes fender flares for our car. so if you are set on fender flares you have to get universal and customize, or create your own. Some people that make body kits for our cars (this includes side skirts) are stillen, sonoma, and ebay no names. If you go the body kit route just don't go with fiberglass you will not be happy in the long run.
Everything bodywise comes unpainted or primered unless it was a used and finished piece from someone else.
You don't have to cut anything for a typical body kit install. Most of it is just double sided tape and a few screws here and there.
Honestly it is fairly easy to do yourself, there may even be a how to if you look hard enough. Also no side skirts are going to cover the rust if I am thinking it is at the typical spot by the rear wheel well.

Again remember these cars are 11-14 years old so yes people have installed side skirts before and many types. There is a lot of information out there you just might have to look really hard if you have a unique question, and if you still can't find what you are looking for then ask here and people are usually very helpful.

maximasicilian you must have not done your research multiple times when you have asked your questions to become jaded in your thoughts of how it is here. This place is amazing, I dare you to go to other forumns and see how it is there and get back to us.

this place is amazing for help, so I am not sure what you mean and sorry if you have been jaded by a few trolls.
