Some Quick Questions

Ok So i have a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE 3.0L. Im thinking about doing some work to Maxi(thats her name, Judge me if you must). And i have some questions

Question 1: What brand Cold Air Intake would you recommend?
Question 2: What kind of muffler would you recommend from Magnaflow?
Question 3: What else can i do to this car to make it sound mean and not like a tuner?

I am going for unique with this vehicle, i am trying to steer away from making this car sound like a tuner, because im not really into them that much even though the car i have has much tuner potential.

If someone could help me out with these questions it would be much appreciated.

Links would be much appreciated as well this way i can write down prices and get a total cost so i know what to put away.

Thank you in advance!

As im a semi-new owner of a 2001 Nissan Maxima aswell I'd love to hear your results!
But my guess as far as cold air intake goes, is Injen.

1. If you want true cold air intake, you'll have to make a hole in the fender and run it there. Or at least do the battery relocation mod and run it behind the headlight. Injen isn't very good as told by many people around here, reason is it puts the intake right behind the radiator and pulls in hot air plus it's expensive. There are a few really good intake threads with dynos you can look at around here too. A nicely done SRI w/ velocity stack or similar can also be very good.

3. NWP spacers are good as mentioned above. Ypipe is best bang for the buck mod on our cars, you can also gut cats and get high-flo cat or stillen fastcat, all that will make it sound mean. And then of course you finish it off with a cat-back and good to go. Oh yeah, there's always headers but at least gutted cats is good.

Don't get an Injen intake. Complete waste of money. You can modify your intake to make it short ram as I did and it will make it a bit louder without the tuner sound. Best part is it is cheap. You can do it with current intake parts and a cone filter.

For exhaust is recommend getting a ypipe at least. You get better non-tuner sound and performance. Others here can re commend a good muffler for your application.

It's really easy... There should be a manual or guide that comes with the car no?

Serious question? The vehicle comes with a factory air filter which is squared so i don't think the manual would show anything on air intakes..
Also guys if you've done this before could you tell me exactly what parts were used for this please? Thanks in advance!
