Tinting Headlights on Infiniti I35

I was wondering if anyone has tried to tint their headlights or spray paint the housing on the inside? I am highly thinking about doing this along with my taillights with some film. I had one buddy of mine tell me it is a pain in the *** to put the headlight back together after you spray paint the housing. Does anyone know how difficult it would be? It seems like it would be very simple. I have made many improvements around my car already, so I know my way around, I'm not a rookie! Haha. Any help is much appreciated!!

IMO, blacked out headlights are tacky and ghetto.. im planning a retrofit soon for my maxima it seemed to be pretty simple to do if you follow the steps closely and take your time. Do a bit of internet research

^^agree. IMO this is the best look for our cars, and doesn't effect the light output negatively.

I've wanted to do this for a while and actually had one apart, but backed out.

It really wasn't hard, maybe I'll get it done this summer.
