Amen, brotha!!!
I can't stand that ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every car will do that to a certain degree, but the Max (4th Gen) for some reason is much worse. I usually try to shove my chamois as far as I can behind the mirror but if you need to go somewhere right after you wash and dry, forget about it. Water is still going all over your car. Also, I've noticed that the Max holds an a$$ of water inside the front doors and therefore water comes up from the weather seal and all over the front windows. DAMN...the car will never be flawlessly cleaned

I slam shut the doors a few times to get the water out of the mirrors after I wash it. That seems to do the trick.

HELL YEAH!!! you can use a can of compressed air and try to blow out as much water as possible.

I also hate when you dry the car and when you close the door, a bunch of water runs down the side of the doors because of trapped water inside the door handles

use a hair dryer much the same way as the compressed air if you arent fortunate enough to have access to a compressor

I would suggest hand washing your car.
Use a chamois to dry it, open each door and
wipe the door jams as well as the trunk and hood.
Apply your tire dressing, go for a short drive, stop
and wipe any remaining moisture from the sides.

This works for me

All cars have their drip points.

I have to agree with that, it pi$$e$ me off after I wash the car and then a couple of hours later take it for a drive and all this water comes out on the windows and the front doors. I don't know where the mirror stores all this water for hours, even over night sometimes.

I don't have a problem with water coming out of my mirrors, although I do have one with water coming up from below the window sill. It only happens when I drive on the freeway right after I wash the car ....at 20-40 mph it seems to be fine.

I have a leaf blower that I use after I wash and blow air into all the cracks and crevaces...works like a charm next to slamming the doors shut a few times...

I know what you are talking about. It's never been a problem though. Simply blow hard on one side (between the mirror glass and mirror housing) and it will come out.

Maybe try folding your mirrors in while washing. ??

Also, you souldn't be driving to air dry your car anyway. Dry it completely w/ a synthetic chamee (sp.?)

What I hate is when you open the trunk water goes in it.

yeah - folding your mirrors sounds like a good idea....but the problem is that you want the glass on the mirrors to be clean also.....so that may be a problem

Heh, I always just use a drying cloth and a credit card to wedge into those tight spaces to get most of the water out. Works pretty good. Just get little drops and not puddles.

The mirror glass should be washed w/ Windex seperately anyway.
